About

Eva's Cottage is one of a collection of refurbished listed buildings in an historic area of Castletown, just a stone’s throw away from the harbour, in the south of the Isle of Man. Etchings featured on the interior walls have been exposed in the refurbishment project and they are suspected to date back to the 18th century!

The living area including the kitchen is a light and airy space. The first floor extends to the open ceiling, exposing the original refurbished A frames. Velux windows allow sunlight to stream into the cottage and there is a partial view of the nearby Irish Sea from the upstairs windows.

Downstairs you will find two bedrooms; a king size and a single. The king bedroom has an en-suite, supplied with luxury toiletries for your comfort.

The headboard in the king bedroom and shower room doors are all made from the original attic floorboards, intertwining the cottage's history with the present day.

Stylish interior lights run up the stairs and across the exposed ceiling beams, illuminating the cottage and making you feel right at home. There is underfloor heating throughout, making it that extra bit cosier.

Nearby you can find Keys Cottage, Packet House and Ellan Vannin, all finished to the same high standard. They sleep between 4 and 6 people each, so why not book these alongside Eva's Cottage if coming as a larger group?

Castletown itself is full of history and the home of a number of Manx National Heritage sites and a great base for a holiday. The airport is 5 minutes down the road, and the town has a wide range of bars, restaurants and cafes close by. The historic Steam Railway runs through the town connecting it with the islands capital, Douglas and the seaside villages of Port Erin and Port St Mary.

Eva's Cottage is managed by local self-catering holiday cottage company Island Escapes. Please visit their website to book Eva's Cottage
