About

Cronk Darragh was built around 1861, it was a working farm up until the 1950’s, it lay neglected until 1968 when the new owners Mr and Mrs Harris began to restore it along with the beautiful Manx stone barn adjacent which now forms the family home.

Cronk Darragh is set in just under one acre of private land comprising a number of young and mature trees and shrubs. There is plenty of parking and an area of open garden which the guests have use of.  More details can be found on our website http://www.cronkdarraghcottage.com/

The garden is full of fruit trees, pick your own apples for eating or cooking, the borders are filled with attractive flowers and a lawned area for relaxing in the evening sun, it’s a classic country garden.

Its elevated position gives Cronk Darragh commanding views over the fields and hills to the south of the Island. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and bird watchers with many picturesque footpaths, glens and plantations.

For motorcyclists the cottage is situated on the first corner of the Billown road race circuit which hosts the famous Southern 100 road race held the 2nd week of July, it also hosts the pre TT Classic road races at the end of May each year.
