About

Bronwyn reflects a blend of the contemporary and the traditional with more than a hint of Manx culture in its carefully curated decor. There are panoramic views from the spacious lounge across to the Lake District in England and Scotland to the north. The combined kitchen/diner boasts a similar aspect with an adjacent large balcony seating area for relaxing and dining. We have a private family recreation area (the 'Pig & Guinea') opening directly to the rear garden facing Cumbria and this provides visitors with an alternative option for unwinding. Please note we are NOT licenced to sell or supply alcohol, but guests are more than welcome to bring their own to enjoy if so wished. High speed free WiFi is available in all areas, together with the use of the main lounge, TV, washing machine, tumble dryer, guest fridge and gardens. Cooked and/or continental breakfasts are included in price, plus additional meals at a small cost. Tea and coffee is available 24/7. Quality bedding and towels are provided, and emergency toiletries are available for any forgotten essential items. There is plenty of room for cars and/or motorbikes, but please note the driveway is steep when you first turn in, but levels off in front of the garage area.

We are located in rural Ballafayle, a small hamlet near Maughold Village in the north of the Island within 10 minutes drive/ride of Ramsey. Bronwyn overlooks Maughold Head and Port Mooar, and the Raad Ny Foillan coastal path runs very close by as does the Manx Electric Railway with a request stop at Rome's Crossing less than 1 minute's walk from Bronwyn. There is also a regular bus service from the top of the lane into Ramsey Bus Station. The mountain section of the TT/MGP course is easily accessible from Bronwyn, including the world famous landmarks of Ramsey Hairpin, Parliament Square and Gooseneck. Ballaglass Glen, one of the Manx National Glens, is within 30 minutes easy walk of Bronwyn. Shops, restaurants, pubs and other services are all available in nearby Ramsey.
