About

Ballagreyney was a working farm up until the 1950's, it lay neglected until 1995 when it was fully restored by its current owners. Along with two beautiful stone cottages there is a fully renovated mill, built in 1859, which was formerly used for threshing wheat and barley.

The surrounding hills and valleys are still farmed by the family and there are lots of footpaths and nature trails which make it an ideal base from which to explore the manx countryside by bicycle or on foot.

Four acres of garden surround the properties - a haven for wildlife. There is also an area created especially for recreational use, such as tennis or croquet, and sports equipment is provided free of charge. In addition children and adults alike will enjoy the thrill of the zip wire!

The cottages are renovated to modern standards but retain many of the traditional quirky features, beamed ceilings, and wood burning stove. There is plenty of parking and a separate utility room houses washing machines and tumble dryers.

Ballagreyney has commanding views over the southern coastline and hills to the rear. It is approximately 3 miles from Castletown, the ancient capital of the island, and 5 miles from the quaint fishing villages of Port Erin and Port St Mary. The small village of Ballabeg is 1 3/4 miles away, with a bus service to Port Erin, Castletown and Douglas. The steam railway runs in the summer months from Port Erin through Ballabeg station to Douglas.
