About

Ballacrye Beg was made into a cottage from a former 'binder' shed some 25 years ago and adjoins the traditional Manx farmhouse of Ballacrye. The cottage has its own entrance and parking. It is situated close to the hamlet of Sandygate in the North of the Island in a lovely country setting. Guests are welcome to use the large garden and to wander around the surrounding fields including the wildflower meadow which is a site of special scientific interest. In the summer months the meadow is a profusion of orchids and rarer plants such as the whorled caraway, set against the stunning backdrop of Snaefell and the hills. The cottage has a small vestibule and hall leading to a sitting room with comfortable seating and a small dining table. The kitchen is fully-equipped and guests are provided with a food starter-pack including tea, coffee, biscuits, bread, butter, cheese and wine. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. The bedroom furniture is Edwardian and the zip and link beds give the option of a super king size or two single beds. All bedding is hypoallergenic.
