15 Duke Street

About

15 Duke Street is a self-catering holiday cottage located in the popular seaside town of Peel in the west of the Isle of Man.

Ideal for a couple or a small family, 15 Duke Street is located just a 30 second walk from Peel beach and promenade! This sandy beach is a favourite for locals and visitors alike, enjoying a storied setting with nearby Peel Castle, a medieval castle located on St Patrick's Isle.

The downstairs area contains a living room and kitchen, a lovely and cosy setting with an exposed fireplace and log burner. The modern kitchen is well-appointed and provides all you need for a holiday. The master bedroom in the property mixes modern comfort with traditional features, such as the wooden beams running across the ceiling! The second bedroom contains two single beds, making the property perfect for a small family.

A working fishing port, in Peel you can still see Kippers, fish that has been split from tail to head and smoked being cured in the traditional manner at Moores Kipper Yard. In addition to Peel Castle, the House of Manannan provides a fascinating insight into the history of the Isle of Man, from the Viking past to exploring 19th century Peel with a walk around the sailmakers loft, chandlers shop, quayside, complete with sights and smells from the Manx kipper yard, and uncover the importance of the sea to the lives of the people on the Isle of Man.

There are a range of places to eat nearby, where you can sample today's catch, independent cafes and locally produced ice cream!

15 Duke Street is managed by local self catering holiday cottage company Island Escapes. Please visit their website to book.
