About

Community based, the Erin Arts Centre, is the only organisation of its kind on the Isle of Man. The Centre serves an Island population of over 80,000 people and provides an essential and unique key to access to, and participation in, arts-based activities. Since the Centre’s foundation in 1971, it has fulfilled a unique and important role as a venue for music and theatre.

Corporate Functions

The Erin Arts Centre has become a prestigious venue for international artists of the highest calibre. The fine acoustic of the Centre’s Isle of Man Bank Auditorium is suitable for nearly all forms of music. Its versatility in terms of space enables it to accommodate anything from instrumental recitals to small orchestral ensembles, choral concerts, opera and more recently film, without losing its special atmosphere of intimacy.

The Auditorium

The auditorium offers a performance area with retractable, raked seating for 126 people and has beautiful acoustics for music, spoken word and recording.

Sir James Mellon Gallery

The Gallery comprises an exhibition space of 17m x 3m, giving 17m of wall hanging area to a height of 2.5m. Alternatively, this area can sit up to 50 people. Lighting is on fully adjustable, overhead tracks and we have steel rod, hanging facilities for the installation of 2D wall mounted work. There is also a shop for the display and sale of merchandise.

Harry's Bar

Our bar space is suitable for meetings, talks or smaller-scale events, with seating for up to forty people.
