Harbour View

About

Harbour View lies close to the heart of the historic town of Castletown, on the site of the old Castletown Brewery. There is a spectacular view over the harbour and to South Barrule in the distance. The harbour area is dominated by the magnificent 13th-century Castle Rushen with its impressive fortress, which was once home to the Kings and Lords of Mann. The heart of historic Castletown is just a 2-minute walk away with all the facilities you would need, as well as four Manx National Heritage venues, and the fascinating story of ‘Peggy’, an 18th-century armed yacht, which can be found in the Nautical Museum. The beach is just 5 minutes away with some glorious coastal footpaths to follow. The railway station is just 5 minutes away with summer services to Douglas and Port Erin, and all stations in-between, and the bus stops outside the door. After a hard day of enjoying yourself you can sit back and relax or visit one of the Castletown pubs and restaurants. Harbour View is the ideal escape and perfect base to explore the rest of the island. Shop, pub and restaurant 350 yards.
