Employment Incentives
The Scheme can provide financial assistance to local businesses where: -
- Permanent roles are filled by either off-Island workers, recent on-Island graduates or Manx graduates returning to the Island; and
- Seasonal roles are filled by off-Island workers or Manx students currently studying off-Island.
25% grant up to a maximum of £10,000 for permanent employees, flat rate of £1,000 for seasonal and temporary employees

Attending Business Specific Training
Financial support for vocational training will be awarded on a shared costs model, with 30% of the training fees for 'in-person' training being provided by the Department and the remainder of the cost being payable by the applicant. Where the training is online - Instructor led and the majority being instructor led, 20% will be provided. Where the course is purely online no funding is available. Where the course is deemed "National Importance" by the Skills Board, 60% may be available.

Employment Generation
The Business Start-Up Scheme supports new start-ups or businesses trading for less than 18 months, with an actual or predicted turnover between £25,500 and £100,000 within the first 12 months of trading.

HR Projects
A grant of up to 50% (£7,500) towards HR projects for your tourism businesses. For example; Contracts of employment, payroll or managing staff.
