Digital Sessions: Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown is a Digital Marketing Consultant with over 10 years’ experience in the marketing world. Whether coaching, consulting or overseeing the delivery of a product or campaign, giving others the skills and confidence to meet their ambitions online is what matters.

Jessica moved from Durban, South Africa to the Isle of Man in 2014, bringing with her experience of working with such global brands as Unilever, VW, Parmalat Samsung. Since then, she has become a driving force in the local digital marketplace, bringing natural business acumen, an appreciation of a company’s core values, and with a relaxed and fresh perspective. Locally, Jessica’s clients span the corporate services provision, hospitality and tourism, retail, gaming and public sector. All have benefited cutting-edge digital marketing strategies and products that achieve results on-site, off-site and on social. It is her unerring enthusiasm for the industry that gives Jessica’s clients their peace of mind. It’s this passion that has allowed her to enjoy keeping up to date with the latest market trends, the latest tech, and her audience, in order to give her clients the advice needed to make informed decisions.  

Over the last four years, Jessica has been involved in the Tourism & Hospitality industry having delivered a number of workshops, training courses and talks all around the subject of social media and online marketing. Her presenting style is relaxed, personable and she aims to equip all attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to grow their business online.  

Jessica will be hosting a series of three master classes at the Tourism Industry Day, each focussing on Digital marketing and social media. All of these sessions will include an overview of 2018 social media and digital marketing trends as well as focussing on specific areas:

The first session, taking place from 13:30 – 14:15, titled ‘How to Generate website traffic and bookings using popular social media platforms’ is aimed at beginners or those struggling to gain momentum online. It will focus on the ways in which popular platforms Facebook and Twitter can help drive traffic to your website and generate more bookings.

Jessica’s second session taking place in the Broadway Cinema from 14:30 – 15:15 is ‘How to get the most out of your website and the importance of a good user-friendly booking system’. This masterclass best suits those at intermediate level who already have an established website. It will look at ways to increase your visibility and reveal the keys to understanding the capabilities of your website.

Finally, from 15:30 – 16:15, Jessica will host a talk entitled ‘How to give travellers the content and social media e-concierge service they have come to expect’.  Aimed at those who have a firm understanding of social media and a good online presence, this talk is pitched at an advanced level and will review popular content and e-concierge services that customers increasingly expect to see online.

The Tourism Industry Day takes place at the Villa Marina on Thursday 22nd February and the programme of events features a range of workshops, sessions and networking opportunities that will be of interest to anyone involved in the hospitality or tourism sectors.
