The loft is a modern self-catering apartment on the upper floor of the property, suitable for 3 persons in 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite facilities. Additionally, the property has a combined kitchen/diner and lounge plus a further shower room, downstairs is a utility room. 

It is well equipped with central heating, and finished to a high standard with stunning country views. The property is supplied with bedding linen and towels, has WiFi, ample secure parking and a garden. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate domestic pets and Vaping or Smoking is not permitted in the property. For our Accessibility Statement, please see below.

Road Directions

From Sea Terminal: Leave the Sea Terminal turning left as you exit, turn left at the next roundabout following signs for Airport or A5 (Castletown). Continue over bridge and turn right at the roundabout, continue straight over next 2 small roundabouts, the Marina is on your right and the second roundabout is by the Island Tyre & Autocare depot. Continue for approximately 1.7 miles until the next roundabout and turn left signed A5 Castletown and Airport. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles up Richmond Hill then passing the Forge Restaurant on the left, and the Comis Mount Murray Hotel signed on the right. Next on the left you will see Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre, then there is a lay-by on the right hand side, halfway along turn right into the driveway, the driveway entrance is just after the pedestrian refuge in the centre of the road. ‘The loft’ can be found on the left hand side down the driveway. The sign at the top of the driveway has three property names, ‘the loft‘, Ballakneen and Knaresborough. Total distance approximately 4.5 miles. Take care when turning right into driveway, please signal and slow down early.

From Airport: Leave the Airport and take the A5 to Douglas for approximately 4 miles. After Newtown Chapel on the right there is a lay by on the left, halfway along you will see the driveway entrance just before the pedestrian refuge in the centre of the road. Turn left into the driveway, ‘the loft’ is the first property on the left hand side down the driveway. The sign at the top of the driveway has three property names, the loft, Ballakneen and Knaresborough.

Public Transport Directions

'the loft' is easily accessed by public transport from Douglas and other areas. The property is on the main bus route to the Airport and is serviced by bus routes 1,1H,2,2A,11 and 12 which operate approximately every 15 mins, the bus stop for 'the loft' is Newtown Chapel.
