On Tuesday 26th February 2019, around 100 representatives from the Island’s tourism and hospitality sector attended the Tourism Industry Day, hosted by Visit Isle of Man, to hear the review of 2018 and a summary of strategic and operational plans for 2019. With the formation of the New Visit Isle of Man Agency in Spring 2018, delegates had the opportunity to pose questions to the Agency Board members and understand more about the new public/private partnership.

Debbie Marshall covered the characteristics of this market, what influences their purchasing decisions and future trends.
11:40 - 12:24 Growing your Family Offering by Tony Berry
Tony Berry advised how companies can learn from the National Trust's experiences of driving and managing the growth of the family market and what the setbacks and challenges are along the way.
14:30 - 15:15 Which Social Media Channel should I be using? by Alison Teare
Alison Teare discussed which social media platforms are right for you, who uses the platforms, why they use them and how to really get the best return on investment for the time you spend.
Alison Teare discussed how to use the #IOMstory hashtag, how to create great content, what works and what doesn't and how to maximise your promotion by interacting with the Campaign.
