Langness Lighthouse Cottages are the ultimate self-catering accommodation. Situated on Langness peninsula at the most southeasterly point of the Isle of Man, Langness is an area of special scientific interest(ASSI) and officially recognised by UNESCO as “one of the best places in the world to explore nature".  The Island has the largest concentration of dark sky sites in the Britain Isles and some of the clearest skies in Europe. Langness Lighthouse Cottages are just a 5 -minute drive from Ronaldsway Airport or a 20 minute drive from Douglas ferry terminal.  We offer 2 cottages to suit all requirements. Langness Lighhouse Cottages would love to welcome you to the lighthouse cottages, famous for diverse bird and marine-life. Basking sharks,dolphins and families of seals your only neighbours. Discover an island of history, beautiful glens, mountain walks and coastal footpaths to explore. An outstandingly beautiful island and rich in history to explore. Return to your beautiful and cosy cottage after a day of exploring.

The Island has many ancient sites including neolithic, celtic and Viking remains. The museum in Douglas is a great place to start your voyage of discovery.
  • Seafront - On the end of Langness peninsula your only neighbours are seals and seabirds. A fantastic place to watch all birds including raptors and the nearby salt water marsh attracts many visiting birds. Watch passing marine life, including basking sharks, Minke whales, dolphins, porpoises and many seals on the surrounding rocks. With coves aned beaches to explore.

The Admin Manager is more than happy to suggest places to walk and sites to visit. Please see some of our 1000s of walks highlighted on our facebook page with photographs. The lighthouse itself is on the Raad ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) coastal footpath.

Drive to Derbyhaven, turn right on to the peninsula. Take the right at the fork in the roads and follow the road out as far as it goes to the public carpark. Continue through the gate on to the private road direct to the lighthouse.
