The Isle of Man is now welcoming back fully vaccinated visitors.
Who can travel to the Isle of Man

With picturesque seaside towns, dramatic coastal scenery and tranquil countryside, the Isle of Man provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic getaway. As the first entire nation to be recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the Island offers beautiful landscapes, unique experiences and plenty of opportunities to spend quality time together.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to escape the everyday, this three-day itinerary showcases some of the Island's most romantic settings, from coastal walks and spa experiences to candlelit dinners and unforgettable sunsets.
Few things are more romantic than a morning spent beside the sea. Start your day with a walk along one of the Island's most beautiful stretches of coastline. Adventurous couples can explore a section of the Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath, while those seeking a gentler pace may prefer the scenic Derbyhaven and Langness Nature Walk, where sweeping sea views and abundant wildlife create the perfect atmosphere for a leisurely stroll.
Afterwards, head to Kellas in Port St Mary for brunch. If the weather is kind, take a seat in the garden and enjoy stunning views overlooking Chapel Beach while you relax over coffee and locally inspired dishes.

Feeling fully relaxed, spend the afternoon exploring one of the Island's enchanting glens. Glen Helen, Ballaglass Glen, Groudle Glen and Silverdale Glen all offer tranquil woodland pathways, flowing streams and peaceful surroundings, making them ideal for a romantic walk hand in hand.
As evening falls, make your way to Douglas and begin the night with cocktails at Kiki Lounge on North Quay. This stylish bar is the perfect spot to toast your getaway before heading to one of the capital's most intimate dining destinations.

For dinner, enjoy an unforgettable meal Coast Bar & Brasserie or Wine Down, where excellent food, atmospheric surroundings and exceptional service create the perfect setting for a romantic evening.

Begin your second day among the colourful gardens and historic surroundings of Milntown, the Island's renowned country estate. Wander through beautifully landscaped gardens, quiet woodland paths and seasonal displays before settling into Milntown Cafe for brunch.
Many ingredients are sourced directly from the estate's kitchen garden, creating a true field-to-fork experience in one of the Island's most picturesque locations.

After a relaxed morning, head north to Fynoderee Distillery in Ramsey. Enjoy a guided tour and discover the stories, folklore and craftsmanship behind the Island's award-winning spirits.
Round off the experience with a tasting session in the Fyn Bar, where you can sample a selection of distinctive Manx gins, rums and whiskies in a cosy and welcoming setting.
For the afternoon, board the historic Manx Electric Railway and enjoy one of the most scenic rail journeys in the British Isles. Travelling along the coast to Laxey, you'll pass stunning sea views before arriving in one of the Island's most charming villages.

Spend time exploring Laxey Beach, the famous Great Laxey Wheel and the peaceful pathways of Laxey Glen. In the evening, settle in for dinner at The Shore Hotel, where stylish interiors and beautiful coastal views provide a fitting end to the day.

Start your final day in Peel, often regarded as one of the Island's most picturesque towns. Explore the atmospheric ruins of Peel Castle, dramatically positioned on St Patrick's Isle and steeped in centuries of history and legend.
Just beside the castle lies Fenella Beach, a secluded sandy cove that feels wonderfully peaceful and is perfect for a quiet meander together.
For lunch, stop at Greens Cafe in St John's before browsing the independent shops at nearby Tynwald Mills. Take time to discover locally crafted jewellery at Element Isle, perhaps finding a special keepsake to remember your trip.
Alternatively, head to Ballasalla and enjoy afternoon tea at The Abbey. Afterwards, walk along the banks of the gently flowing Silverburn River, one of the Island's most tranquil beauty spots.
No romantic break on the Isle of Man would be complete without watching the sun set over the Irish Sea. Peel has earned its nickname of "Sunset City" for good reason, and there's no shortage of spectacular viewing locations.
Whether you choose Peel Hill, the Headlands or Peel Beach, you'll be treated to one of the Island's most memorable experiences as the sky fills with colour and the sun slowly disappears beyond the horizon.
Continue the evening with dinner at The Boatyard, where freshly prepared seafood and harbour views provide the perfect setting for a final romantic meal.

End your escape beneath some of the darkest skies in the British Isles. With 26 official dark sky sites across the Island and exceptionally low levels of light pollution, the Isle of Man offers incredible opportunities for stargazing.
As the stars emerge overhead, it's the perfect way to reflect on your time together and bring your romantic Island getaway to a close.
