This section of the Raad ny Foillan is particularly spectacular in the mid to late summer when the surrounding heather and gorse are in full bloom.
Beginning with a walk around Port Erin Bay you will then head up towards Milner’s Tower and on towards Bradda cairn. Here you’ll be met with stunning views of the Calf of Man. After taking in the breathtaking scenery you can begin your descent back down towards Fleshwick Bay and onto Lhiattee ny Beinnee.
After a few ups and downs you’ll arrive at Cronk ny Arrey Laa where views are well worth the climb! As you come to the end of your walk you’ll arrive at one of the Island’s most stunning beaches, Niarbyl, where mesmerising sunsets can often be seen, before finishing at Niarbyl Visitor Centre.
Advice and Safety Information
Hard cliff and coastal walking through rough moorland. Multiple steep slopes, walking poles are recommended. It is important to check weather forecast before setting off as visibility is poor in bad weather.
Strenuous - walks for experienced country walkers and a very good level of fitness. The route will include some hills and rough country. Walking boots and suitable clothing are essential.
