Manx Menu Food Product of the Year: PopCornaa Vegan Seaweed, Wasabi and Soy Gourmet Popcorn
This is a new and innovative plant based snack, using seaweed as a core ingredient. The health benefits of seaweed make this snack more nutritious and rich in iodine. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful with our application to set up a seaweed harvesting farm off the shores of Derbyhaven, which would have given brand provenance for export markets, as well as aligning with our corporate social responsibilities in giving back to coastal ecosystems. Our premium corn is gluten free and non GMO, and due to geo location of the Island, farmers are unable to facilitate the growth of this variety.
We are an Island based business, employing local people to manufacture our product, ensuring each bag that leaves our production kitchens are of the best quality and meet UK SALSA standards.
