The Year of the Manx Language 2026 is a vibrant, island‑wide celebration of Manx language. It’s for everyone – fluent speakers, complete beginners, people who call the Isle of Man home, and visitors discovering our culture for the first time. “Mind Your Language!” – Manx Language Exhibition at the Manx Museum
Culture Vannin and Manx National Heritage are delighted to present a 6-month long exhibition about Gaelg, the Manx language. This will run between 25th April and 4th October 2026 at the Manx Museum.
Cooish Vooar – Manx Language Festival
The Cooish is an annual Manx language festival, which has been running since 1995, when it was known as “Feailley Ghaelgagh”. “Cooish” has many meanings, including a cosy chat or get together, a subject, or cause.
