In this series of blogs we meet the speakers who will be joining us for this years’ Visit Isle of Man Tourism Industry Day.

Due to unforseen circumstances Francesca Di Nuzzo has kindly stepped in for Debbie Richards, Director at Baker Richards to present the Keynote and deliver the workshop.

Francesca Di Nuzzo is a Senior Researcher and Consultant at Baker Richards, a consulting and software firm that helps cultural organisations and attractions achieve their commercial potential.  Baker Richards has worked with hundreds of clients worldwide over the last 15 years including Edinburgh International Festival, Historic Scotland, London Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Company, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Sydney Opera House.

Francesca works with co-founder and Director Debbie Richards to help organisations embed the principles of behavioural economics and consumer psychology into their decision-making. In Francesca's consulting work, she enjoys empowering organisations to optimise their pricing and marketing strategy by using data-driven evidence. Her experience includes work across the UK, US and continental Europe.

Franscesca will be hosting two sessions at the Tourism Industry Day, one as keynote speaker presenting ‘Priceless – How to sell more, and make more income’ from 11.30- 12.15. This will consider the key issues in developing a pricing strategy for your business and the ways in which developing a sophisticated pricing strategy can help you to sell more, including the use of special offers and discounts.

Later in the afternoon, Franscesca will be leading an interactive workshop titled ‘The Price is Right – What do your prices say about you?’ in Promenade Suite 1. This workshop will help you to explore issues around price and value in more detail, plus insights from the field of behavioural economics and implications of maximising the opportunities of a pricing strategy.

The Tourism Industry Day takes place at the Villa Marina on Thursday 22nd February and the programme of events features a range of workshops, sessions and networking opportunities that will be of interest to anyone involved in the hospitality or tourism sectors.
