About

A few minutes walk from the centre of Douglas, you will find the historic Woodbourne House which dates back to the early 1900s. Over the years it has been a politician's stately home, a girl's boarding school and since 1923, it has been the home of the Island's Freemasons, which can be in the beautiful Masonic temple on the upper floor. This beautiful building incorporates the classical feel of a 19th century home with a modern finish through high quality facilities, subtle decor and classical features to suit every occasion.

With both the grand Harrison Hall for weddings and functions, as well as smaller, more intimate rooms for private dining and conferences, Woodbourne House is the perfect setting for all social occasions.

Harrison Hall

Created for big events and spectacular occasions, the Harrison Hall can accommodate up to 200 dining or 180 people for a reception with space for dancing. For larger events and festivals, there is also a licence to allow a marquee adjoining the hall.

While still retaining all the modern and elegant hallmarks of Woodbourne House, the decor is deliberately understated so that you can decorate it in any way you choose so that you can create your own unique, unforgettable venue for your big day.

The Ward Room

For a more intimate occasion, the warm and welcoming Ward Room is elegantly decorated in the Farrow and Ball colours with a cosy, intimate finish. Perfect for small ceremonies, meetings and private events.
