Visit Isle of Man is inviting tourism industry activity and attraction partners to register their interest in its upcoming ‘On Your Doorstep’ initiative that aims to promote and celebrate the rich variety of tourism businesses the Isle of Man has to offer residents and visitors this autumn.
The ‘Extraordinary Is… On Your Doorstep’ initiative will run for eight weeks from 1st October to 30th November 2023 and aims to encourage local attraction and activity businesses in the sector to offer promotional packages during the shoulder season. The purpose is to showcase the diverse range of experiences that can still be enjoyed throughout autumn and winter, thus extending the Island’s tourism season, and encouraging residents to share with visiting friends and relatives.

‘Our ‘Extraordinary Is… On Your Doorstep’ initiative is a fantastic opportunity for our industry partners to showcase their offerings to a warm audience, widening leisure opportunities throughout the shoulder season. It is also an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to explore and support local businesses, ensuring the sustainability and growth of the Island’s tourism industry.
‘As an industry it is essential we work together to create an exceptional visitor experience and I would encourage our attraction and activity businesses to get involved and utilise the marketing and operational benefits this initiative will bring.’
This initiative is open to all attraction and activity businesses across the Island. Businesses can choose their preferred way for customers to redeem offers, for example, quoting a discount code when booking or adding their ‘On Your Doorstep’ promotion to their online booking system promoting BOGOF (buy one get one free) rates and or added value packages. Businesses who are predicted to be busy throughout October or November are still welcome to participate in the initiative by including bounce back offers which customers can redeem in 2024.
