Rowany Cottier guest house

About

Welcome to Rowany Cottier. This substantial five bedroom guest house stands in its own spacious grounds overlooking Port Erin Bay. Providing a high standard of accommodation with a friendly relaxed atmosphere, Rowany Cottier offers an ideal base from which to discover the rich heritage of this lovely isle.

"The scenery of the Isle of Man is unique. Its mountains, though of comparatively small scale, are rugged and picturesque. Of the thousands who visit its shores every year, all are fascinated by the loveliness of its glens. its wealth of golden gorse and purple heather and its breezy 'green hills by the sea'. It is as though the great agencies of Nature had worked with loving hand in making it fertile and beautiful"   W.H. GILL

Port Erin is set among rugged cliffs and dramatic headland. With its deep U-shaped bay and broad sandy beach, Port Erin provides excellent bathing and watersports. Fishermen and divers are both attracted by its clear water and rich marine life. Wildlife is abundant, especially along the coast and may be enjoyed from many of the coastal paths, or boat trip to the Calf of Man. The Calf of Man is particularly interesting as it is an observation point for a wide variety of breeding and migrating birds including Chough and Manx Shearwater. It is also home to some 300 Grey seals and maybe a few Basking Sharks off shore.

Rowany Cottier faces south west with a panoramic view of Port Erin Bay and the rugged coastline to the Calf of Man. Adjacent is the sheltered sun trap of Bradda Glen and the coastal footpath to Bradda Head. To the rear we overlook the 15th hole on Rowany Golf Course with the Bradda hills beyond. The centre of Port Erin is a pleasant 10 minute walk down the promenade. Here you can catch the unique Manx Steam Railway and buses.

Rowany Cottier provides high quality and comfort that is reflected in each of the 5 double/twin bedrooms. With full central heating, all bedrooms have private bathrooms, colour TV, WIFI and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. An elegant guest lounge looks out to the Calf of Man. Breakfast is served in the dining room, again overlooking the bay, where you can try a tasty Manx Kipper from our extensive breakfast menu. Private parking for all guests.

A wealth of local knowledge and a warm welcome awaits you from your Manx hosts John and Heather Keggin. Please see our website for further details.
