Group walking tour at Cregneash

About

Part of the Manx National Heritage portfolio, Cregneash is a traditional Manx thatched village overlooking the Calf of Man. Many of the Manx cottages are open to see how crofters lived through stories, skills and craft demonstrations. Walkers around the village have the chance to see cats with no tails, four-horned Loghtan sheep, plough horses and traditional farming practices in action.

Cregneash Village also offers good sky views in all directions. Cregneash is the perfect place to admire the stars, with some of the darkest skies on Island. Cregneash Village is one of 26 registered Dark Sky Discovery Sites on the Isle of Man. With the help of Interpretation Boards on site, stargazers can fully enjoy the stunning views on offer in the Manx skies.

Advice and Safety:

The stargazing site is located at the picnic area, in front of the Creg y Shee Café in the Cregneash village. The area is grassed with picnic tables present.
