About

Set in a purpose built conservatory, the cafe has wonderful views of both the Walled Garden and the famous Winchester gates. The menu features a wide range of delicious home cooked seasonal dishes, light lunches, cakes and teas. It is the ideal place for morning coffee, a hearty lunch after a garden visit, or a relaxing afternoon tea.

Events, weddings and special functions can be catered for all year round. The Milntown Estate, restaurant and old dining room with the main house are all available for hire. Whether your event is a marquee wedding in the grounds, private hire of the cafe or a small private party in the old Milntown dining room, it can be designed to suit your requirements.

Walking and cycling groups welcome. If you are a large party please call us in advance and let us know your requirements and how we can help.

The Milntown Cafe is open daily throughout the year (except Tuesdays) from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm (4pm November, December, January and February).

Tea, coffee and homemade cakes are available all day until last orders at 4.30pm

Breakfast menu served daily from 10.00am-11.00am

Lunch menu served daily from 11.30am-3.00pm

Afternoon Tea served daily from 2.00pm-4.00pm

Road Directions

Milntown is on the A3 going west from Ramsey along the TT course. Passing Ramsey Grammar School on your left the Milntown entrance is a further 200 yards on the left. The drive entrance is clearly marked.

Public Transport Directions

By bus:

Route 5, Ramsey-Douglas via Peel, stops directly outside Milntown's main gates.

Route 3, Douglas-Ramsey via Laxey then either walk 1 mile to Miltown or catch the Route 5 bus from Ramsey Bus Station.

There is a bus stop in either direction outside Milntown's front gates.
