About

A few minutes walk from the centre of Douglas, you will find the historic Woodbourne House which dates back to the early 1900s. Over the years it has been a politician's stately home, a girl's boarding school and since 1923, it has been the home of the Island's Freemasons, which can be in the beautiful Masonic temple on the upper floor. This beautiful building incorporates the classical feel of a 19th century home with a modern finish through high quality facilities, subtle decor and classical features to suit every occasion.

From boardroom meetings to conferences and everything in between - at Woodbourne House in partnership with Optimal Events, we will cater for your every need. With our quirky and beautiful bars, a warm welcome awaits everyone. Whatever the occasion Optimal Events will create your vision for any event. We do everything in house, using only our valued suppliers.

The Function Suite

The Function Suite with its amazing and quirky bar can host large functions, seating from 70 up to 200 for any event. The rooms can be laid out to suit the event.

While still retaining all the modern and elegant hallmarks of Woodbourne House, the decor is deliberately understated so that you can decorate it in any way you choose so that you can create your own unique, unforgettable venue.

The Green Room

Our Green Room, with its own private bar, this is a versatile room for small dinner groups (up to 30 people) or as a smaller meeting room.

The Board Room

The Board Room, which affords itself several uses from intimate private dining to Board Meetings.
