Broogh Fort Cottages

About

Broogh Fort Cottages is a private gated country retreat with a group of self-catering holiday homes in Santon, just outside Douglas on the Isle of Man.

Each property is pet friendly and has been lovingly renovated from what was originally a Clay Pigeon Shooting range into high-end holiday accommodation. Enjoy the private decking areas, perfect for relaxing, equipped with furniture and an outdoor hot tub! From here you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets as day turns to night, a perfect way to draw a busy day of exploring the Isle of Man to a close.

Douglas, the island’s capital is nearby with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. From here, there are also great transport links to take you around the island. Use the Heritage Railways which all begin in Douglas! Take the Steam railway to the south of the island or the Manx Electric Railway to Laxey, Ramsey and even Snaefell!

Nearby is Comis Golf Resort, featuring 18 holes and a new driving range. Visit Comis Hotel and The Forge for quality food and drink options without having to travel too far!

Explore South Barrule, a plantation packed with activities for the whole family! Here you can visit Laser Mayhem, Ape Mann, try your hand at quad biking and explore the plantation's trails on a mountain bike! If you prefer a slower pace, perhaps park yourself in the cosy Coffee Cottage, a cafe that serves light bites complete with a log burning fire!

Quilliam's LodgeThe Clays, Kate's Corner and Cosy Nook, all four properties in operation at Broogh Fort, are managed by local self-catering accommodation company Island Escapes. To book these properties, please visit Island Escapes' website.
