Seabank Cottage

About

Seabank Cottage is in a magnificent location, situated approximately 50 feet from Port-e-Vullen Beach, Maughold on the north east coast of the Island, with stunning coastal views and distant views of Cumbria on the horizon.

This comfortable, newly built holiday cottage has a large picture window in the lounge/dining area, showing off beautiful views out to the sea, coastline and beach. Dolphins, seals and a variation of bird life can be viewed in the comfort of this cosy cottage. One good sized double bedroom, with window to the front with sea views and built in mirror fronted wardrobes and high vaulted ceiling. Modern fitted kitchen, with oven, grill, ceramic hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The bathroom is a wet room with a walk in shower with glass panel.

To the front of the property is a small decking area. To the side is a raised decking area, fenced, with fantastic views. The beach is a couple of seconds walk from the property.

There's plenty to do and see! Just half a mile up the road is an electric railway stop which can take you north to Ramsey, south to Laxey and Douglas or up to the summit, Snaefell. Seabank is located on the island's coastal footpath, the Raad Ny Foillan, which provides stunning views and is graded as a moderate walk.

In nearby Ramsey there is plenty to do and see. A beautiful sandy beach stretching for what seems like forever and fabulous walks for you to enjoy are not too far away. Mooragh Park is also just around the corner, featuring excellent leisure facilities, where visitors can find tennis courts, a bowling green and a crazy golf course. Watersport activities are available on the lake in the summer too! To top it off, Mooragh Park is a registered Dark Skies Site, from which you may even be able to see the northern lights on the horizon when the conditions are just right!

The Grove Museum, just outside of Ramsey town centre, provides an insight into the life of a Victorian family who built the house in the 20th Century. There are other Victorian attractions in Ramsey, such as the Queen's Pier and the aforementioned Manx Electric Railway.

Seabank Cottage is managed by local Isle of Man holiday cottage company Island Escapes. Please visit their website to make a booking for Seabank Cottage.

Road Directions

Leaving Ramsey, heading for Douglas on the coast road, you will find your first turning on the left hand side, the A15, carry on down over the tramlines for about 1/4 of a mile where you will come across a T Junction with a disused phone box on your right. From this point you are only approx. 200 metres from your destination. Continue on the A15 and you will find the slipway to Port e Vullen beach on your left hand side.  Seabank Cottage is located down the slipway.
