Recreational Parks and Centres
The Isle of Man boasts excellent open spaces – suitable for a wide range of activities which the whole family will enjoy.
The parks in the Isle of Man have been enjoyed by visitors for hundreds of years and provide as much enjoyment now as they did way back when.
Geographically, the parks are well spread out across the Island. Check out Mooragh Park in Ramsey which has a 12 acre boating lake that hosts numerous watersports or Silverdale, in the south, which marries a beautiful secluded glen with a large outdoor playground.
Onchan Pleasure Park is home to stockcar racing – and as such is somewhere you won’t want to miss. Visit for your chance to see racers from the Isle of Man, and further afield, test their machines and the hilarious bangers!
If the weather takes a turn for the worse visit one of the Island’s indoor facilities. Try the National Sports Centre to swim, play bowls or squash or pay a visit to the Craftworks Studio at Silverdale where you can turn your hand to ceramics.
