Sneak preview of the Christine Collister DVD
| Christine - early years.wmv (5179 KB) | Christine Collister is one of the Isle of Man’s finest exports. She started singing in local clubs and pub around the island at 16, but her world class voice soon propelled her to international success. Over the past 20 years, she has toured the world with Richard Thompson & Clive Gregson, recorded the memorable theme tune for BBC hit show “Life of a She Devil” and received critical acclaim for her own solo performances, playing alongside such famous name as REM, Suzanne Vega, Martin Simpson and The Blue Oyster Band. To mark her 20 year anniversary in music, she has produced a DVD celebration her career so far. The DVD was produced entirely on the Isle of Man and is released though Island based record label Stereoscout (www.stereoscout.com) the DVD includes a 70 minute programs featuring previously unseen archive footage, along with DVD extras which include a mini documentary about the Isle of Man. The DVD saw a nationwide release in early 2005, but limited release discs are now available though her website: www.christinecollister.com |
