Maple Leaf Gardens is a cosy 2-bedroomed Cottage perfectly situated in the centre of Douglas, Isle of Man within a short walk to local shops, bars, restaurants and the business district.

The Cottage has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Bathroom with large wetroom shower, galley kitchen with fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, oven, kettle, toaster and all general kitchen items.  A lounge with sofas, dining table and chairs, wood burning stove, supply of logs/sticks, flat screen TV, DVD Player with selection of DVD's, high speed internet access, small selection of games, puzzles and books.

Towels and linen are provided and beds made up for your arrival. On street parking is available very close by (at the end of the lane). A parking disk is require (provided free at the Cottage). Parking requires a disk to be displayed during the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and parking is limited to 2 hours at a time.  Should you wish to park for longer periods, please contact us so we can arrange for a temporary parking permit to be issued.

There is a bus stop only a 2 minute walk away, the steam train station is a 15 minute walk and the horse trams are a 10 minute walk onto the promenade.

If you are interested in the TT Races, the Grandstand is only a 20 minute walk and the local beer tents a 10 minute stroll onto the promenade where most of the TT activity takes place.

If it's country or coastal walks you're interested in, electric or steam railways, horse-drawn trams, the TT Museum, or to watch the TT, MGP or Southern 100 races and take in the atmosphere it is all here in the Isle of Man.

You may wish to play a round of golf on one of our 9 stunning golf courses, take in some sea or reservoir fishing or just enjoy a quiet relaxing break.

The Island is the perfect destination for a cycling trip, with enough testing terrain to challenge even the most serious cyclists and plenty of quiet roads and off-road tracks for sightseers and families who want to take it at their own pace. 

The Isle of Man has lots to offer from relaxing to highly active and we wish to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, should you require anything at all from advice to a cool box for your picnic, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Various brochures, timetables, maps activity schedules etc. are provided within the Cottage for you to browse and take away.

There is an excellent Tourist Information Centre at the Sea Terminal building, which is the ‘lemon squeezer’ type building at the end of the promenade where the ferry terminal is.  Here you will be able to buy bus/tram/train tickets to explore the Island and pick up a large selection of leaflets and information sheets.

Road Directions

Directions to the property from the Sea Terminal:-


Come out of the port and turn left at mini roundabout. 
At the next mini roundabout continue ahead.
Pass through 1st set of pedestrian lights and immediately after move into right hand lane and turn right onto Ridgeway Street before pedestrian lights.
Follow road which bears left up hill passing HSBC on left.
Continue through traffic lights at junction with Athol Street, passing Isle of Man Bank on your left and Lloyds Bank on your right.
Continue to next set of traffic lights and go straight on.
Take 3rd turning on the left at the Church (2nd turning is no entry) opposite Islander Chippy signpost to Merton Bank/Allen Street.
Follow road to the first left hand turning and turn down Peveril Street and find a parking space in the herringbone style parking on the right.
Maple Leaf Gardens in then the next Terrace along down a small lane, the Cottage is half way down on the left.

Public Transport Directions

If arriving via air there is a regular bus service into Douglas which takes about 25 minutes. If you ask the Bus driver to alert you when you get to Thai Thai (Restaurant with bright blue canopy) and get off here.

If you then walk to the end of the road, continuing in the same direction and turn left up Bucks Road. Then take the second turning on the left past HOMECO into Fairfield Terrace, continue along this road and take the next right onto Peveril Street, there is a small lane on the left hand side which if you walk down this lane then turn right you be on Peveril Terrace, the house is half way up on the right hand side - clearly visible with a blue front door with MAPLE LEAF GARDENS plaque on the side wall.

This walk will take you less than 5 minutes.
