Lighthouse Keepers Cottage

About

An original lighthouse keepers cottage, located a short walk from Douglas and all amenities. Stunning sea views, private jetty.
This amazing cottage has undergone a refurbishment and is a lovely holiday cottage for a relaxing break.

Potential renters should note that access to this property is on foot only and there are a lot of steps involved, but the peace, tranquility and uninterrupted views make it worth it!

Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage is a very special and unique place to stay with incredible coastal and distant mountain views. The lighthouse was built in 1857 and is a significant landmark on Douglas Head. We're close to the historic Camera Obscura, Marine Drive and Port Skillion and we have a beautiful garden where you can sit and enjoy the views. Our courtyard area is a safe and enclosed space for children to play with the garden games provided.

The interior of the lighthouse has been carefully restored to make it a comfortable, relaxing space for all of our guests. We provide quality linens and towels, hairdryers, and we have a cot and highchair available for our younger guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, cafetiere, and nutri bullet. We also supply a generous welcome pack with lots of locally produced, quality goods for you to try.

Guests can access the entire cottage itself, the courtyard area, garden and jetty, and the area by the perimeter wall. We advise caution around the jetty in particular as it can be slippery and children should be supervised at all times. We have a gate which can be kept locked making the courtyard a safe area for children to play.
