Map & Directions

Road Directions

Please don't rely on sat nav or google maps as these often take you the wrong way.  To reach Bishop's Lodge on Quarterbridge Road from the Ferry terminal you need to turn left at the small roundabout immediately as you come out of the terminal and straight over/ bear slightly to the right on the next, larger roundabout with the Police Station on the right and a row of bus stops on the left.

Follow this road (Lord Street) up the hill and through three sets of traffic lights. When you are on the flat again this is Peel Road, keep going straight on, through another set of traffic lights until you pass Macdonalds and the Firestation on the left and the road separates into three lanes coming up to Quarterbridge Roundabout.

Get into the right lane and turn right up Quarterbridge Road. If you come from the airport, it’s best to get a taxi as there is no bus route directly past the house and it’s a bit of a walk up the hill with bags.

If you hire a car, coming from the airport stay in the left lane as you approach Quarterbridge and indicate right, keep in the left lane approaching the second roundabout and then take the left turning up Quarterbridge Road.

Please note there are no signs for the Lodge on the road, you need to look for the house name Hillsdene. As you come up Quarterbridge Road from the roundabout, we are the next driveway on the right after the turning for Devonshire Road.

If you get to Alexander Drive you have gone too far! The driveway has red tarmac with a stone wall with the house name on it, and there are wooden gates, which will be open for you.
