The Bentlea is a 3 star guest house located on the seafront of Central Promenade, Douglas. Ideally situated opposite the beach and well within walking distance to the shopping centre, cinemas, museum, bars/restaurants, casino and business sector. A bus and horse tram stop is conveniently located across the road to allow you to explore our beautiful Island. 

Having been born and raised in the hotel and guest house business, the proprietor appreciates the importance of customer care and offers a very homely and friendly stay. No single person supplement*.

All 5 en-suite bedrooms offer television, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi access is available free of charge in all areas. 

A comfortable television lounge overlooks the delightful Douglas bay.

Guests can sit outside with a choice of patio or garden area to enjoy the sea air.

Accessibility at the Bentlea

The information provided below should be helpful in assessing your decision to stay at the Bentlea. We would not want anyone to book with us if the facilities would be unsuitable for your particular needs. Should you require further information to determine if the Bentlea is suitable for you, please ask before booking, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Unfortunately, the Bentlea is unsuitable for wheelchair users as we do not have a lift and we have no ground level bedrooms. The proprietor lives on the property and can, therefore, be contacted 24 hours a day.

Accessing the Bentlea

There are 2 steps to the front door of the Bentlea.

Bedrooms 4 and 5 are situated on the first floor and are accessed via stairs.

Bedrooms 7, 8 and 9 are situated on the second floor and accessed via further stairs.

Dining room

The dining room is situated on the ground floor.

Guest lounge

The guest lounge is situated on the first floor.

Patio / lawn

The patio is a slightly raised concrete patio which can be accessed via 2 steps. The lawn area has a raised kerb.
