Road Directions

Travelling to the cottages from the Sea terminal

Exit sea terminal, keep left straight over the mini roundabout and the next one. Follow the A1 towards Peel through Union Mills/ Crosby, Greeba until you reach the Ballacraine Crossroads (identifed by a large pink house on the corner of the right turn). Turn R for the North and Ramsey A3.stay on this road passing through Kirk Michael. On reaching the outskirts of Ballaugh village, turn immediate L after the bridge. Go to the end of this road passed the church on the R, and take the first R turn Ballaterson Road leading to Ballaterson fields, dont turn off this road. Go to the end where there is a cross road and go straight over, the property is the first on the R turn after the bend. Please park in allocated space either 1/2/3 depending on cottage booked.

Travelling from the Airport :

Once you exit the terminal turn R at the first roundabout, go straight on and through the next roundabout,  passing the Whitestone Pub on the left, follow through Ballasalla on the A3 to St Johns. Directions from here are the same as above once Ballacraine crossroads have been reached.

Public Transport Directions

Local transport is within walking distance of the village, (15 mins). If you have a car but prefer to use local bus services you can drive to the village and leave your car there to pick up the local bus services to either North/South of the island.

The  train services can be picked up from Ramsey or Douglas, and travel across the island and drop offs are on the way.

Bike hire is available in Ramsey and they will deliver if required.

Set in private grounds, there are three cottages. This statement is for Cottage 3 the larger sleeps 4+ On entering the drive way the cottages can can be found on the left hand side, Cottage 3 has its own private gravel parking area. There is lighting all along the fence, and two external lights either side of the front door. From the car park there is a long paved path to the cottage, there are no steps involved. On arrival the front door is 78cm wide, with a slight step up of 20cm into a long wide hallway which is 95cm wide throught with short pile carpeting throught the hall. To the right of the hall entering the front door there are double doors which can be fully opened to a width of 137cm suitable for wheelchair access into the open plan lounge/kitchen. The floor level remains the same inside the area which is part wooden and part tiled (kitchen area). Furniture can be moved around if required. There is ceiling spotlights throught this area, which has a dimer switch. From the hallway again a wheelchair can easily be maneavoured towards either bedroom or bathroom, so steps involved. There is one double bedroom and one twin room. The lounge has a double sofa bed if required. Both bedrooms are short pile carpeted, with again ceiling spot lights throught. The hallway leads also to the bathroom, which is tiled floor, spotlight ceiling lighting. A bath which Is 56cm in height. Wash basin is 79cm high and the toilet is 38cm high. There is a separate shower cubical with glass closing doors size is 84cm x 54cm, and has a step up of 29cm. GARDEN The garden remains flat with several patio areas with seating and fully grassed over with a further wooden seating area and benches for viewing the lovely surrounding hills. ADDITIONA INFORMATION Although we don’t accommodate dogs in general except out of season, we welcome assistance dogs at any time. Please contact the owners for further enquiries.   • Castle - Peel Castle is a very nice visit. Also Castle Rushen in Castletown and Rushen Abbey in Ballasalla
  • Country house - Milntown House in Ramsey is worth a visit, now a National Heritage owned house but was the original home of the Christian family, viewing is highly recommended. Also the mantained garden for visitors which has a nice walk and lake. There is also a tearoom, and restaurant facilities.

  • Haunted - Milntown House in Ramsey is assumed to be haunted. Also Castle Rushen in Castletown has a haunted connection. Ghost walks are available in various locations ( pre booking is recommended).
  • In countryside - Near the cottages is the Wildlife Park, and the Ballaugh Currraghs is a very nice walk where you may see wild wallabies in the Sartfield area. there is a boardwalk and a viewing location at this location. Parking is provided. Early morning or at dusk is a good time to spot wallabies.
  • In town/city centre - Ramsey is the nearest town, with various cafes, restaurants, and beach front. there is also a bowling alley, indoor swimming pool. and childrens play area at Mooragh Park which also has a Costa and a boating lake
