About

Ballamoar Campsite is situated in Ballaugh Glen, 200 metres north of the village. With beautiful views and ease of access to the manx hills, the site provides everything a visitor could want, from TT visitor to mountain bike enthusiast to rambler.

 

Glamping ar Ballamoar Campsite

The 'Igloos' as we call them are wood huts that will sleep five but probably are more comfirtable with four!

They have heating, light and electric, a small fenced in area with decking for privacy. 

They come with mattresses, but you will need to provide your own bedding!

Please note during TT fortnight the mountain road is one way from Ramsey to Douglas (Creg na Baa).  If using Sat nav it tries to send you over the mountain, then you have to turn off and go Via Laxey/Ramsey.  

 

From Douglas / Ferry Port

Suggested Route via A1 & A3 
27.7km - about 31 mins

1. Head north on A11/Bath Pl - 26m

2. At the roundabout, take the 5th exit and 
stay on A11/Bath Pl - 0.1km

3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and 
stay on A11/Bath Pl - 0.1km

4. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A1/Lord St Continue to follow A1/ Peel Road

5. Go through 2 roundabouts. Direction Peel - 12.4km

5. Turn right at (Ballacraine) into A3 Direction Ramsey - 15.1km

6. Turn right at Ballaugh Glen - 0.3km
