Visit Isle of Man, an Executive Agency within the Department for Enterprise, has launched the 2019 "How Can We Help" Survey which will measure past engagement with Department-led initiatives and opportunities, and give businesses the chance to suggest what they would like to see offered in the future.

Visit Isle of Man supports a range of tourism related businesses including accommodation providers, activity providers, attraction owners, event organisers and eateries. As well as facilitating and supporting new businesses and product development, Visit Isle of Man provides training and development opportunities, networking events and ongoing support for existing partners.

Angela Byrne, Head of Visit Isle of Man, commented:

"We would like to encourage all industry members to take part in the survey to help Visit Isle of Man establish programmes which support the needs of those within the tourism sector. Our aim is to work with industry to establish the Isle of Man as a quality visitor destination, which relies on the continuous improvement of product quality and service levels as the industry evolves alongside the needs of our prospective visitors. It is our hope that this process will help us provide the best support possible."

"We would also like to remind all industry members to sign up for the monthly Trade e-newsletter which includes key information and details of events and training sessions available. It is a constant theme from the survey that tourism providers would like to be kept up to date with the work going on at Visit Isle of Man and the e-newsletter has been developed to manage this, alongside our regular meetings and direct business contact. We welcome feedback on our communications and are always happy to tailor them to meet industry requirements".

Based on last year's feedback, the Department delivered a number of training opportunities, networking sessions and events including digital marketing sessions, website workshops, drop in sessions and a new-look taste event with guest speaker Peter Avis.

All providers with an interest in the visitor economy are encouraged to complete the survey here before it closes on the 1st July 2019.
