Ferndale was originally built as a 7 bedroomed boarding house in the Victorian era. It has been adapted and modernised over the years and now offers two comfortable, spacious suites including a main bedroom, dressing room and  an ensuite shower room. Where possible orginal features have been kept and restored to give a feeling of originality but with modern comforts. Jan and Ian, the owners, have welcomed guests for over 6 years and enjoy meeting people and making them feel at home during their stay.

Ferndale is situated just above the town of Ramsey with all it's shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the train station and bus stops. 10 minutes walk away is the beach and the Queen's Pier. Ballure reservoir and Albert Tower, named after Prince Albert when he and Queen Victoria visited the island in 1847, are within walking distance and offer stunning views across Ramsey and the north of the island.

Ferndale is ideal for couples and families of up to four and has easy access to the north of the island for walking, bird watching, biking and sight-seeing. However, with close proximity to Ramsey town centre it's ideal for business visitors too.

Both bedroom suites are situated on the first floor and both have king sized beds, private en-suite shower rooms, comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries.

The bedroom suite at the front of the property can accommodate 2 adults and up to two children, with additional bunk beds/single bed. It is a bright, sunny room with views across to Albert Tower and North Barrule. The bedroom at the rear can accommodate couples and has a separate dressing area off the main bedroom, leading to a large en-suite shower room.

Please note that due to Ferndale's architectural features, it is not suitable for guests requiring 'Wheelchair'or 'Street level access', as it has a gated entrance and steps leading up to the front door.

A full Manx Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and we aim to use as much local produce as possible, including free-range eggs, Manx butter and fresh milk from Aalin Dairy in Sulby. Vegetarian and other dietary needs are catered for.

Free parking is available close to the property.

Jan and Ian look forward to welcoming you to Ferndale and want your stay with us to be as enjoyable as possible.
