About

Half a mile north of Onchan, lies the Clypse and Kerrowdhoo reservoirs. Both very scenic and surrounded by vast countryside, offer a very dark sky perfect for a spot of stargazing. Enjoy sky views to the North, East and South of the Island.

Clypse Kerrowdhoo Reservoir car park is one of 26 registered Dark Sky Discovery Sites on the Isle of Man. With the help of Interpretation Boards on site, stargazers can fully enjoy the stunning views on offer in the Manx skies.

 

Advice and Safety:

The stargazing site is a large flat tarmacked area surrounded by fences and trees.

By Car: Travel north from Douglas on the A18 (TT course) for 2 miles. At Hilberry turn right and follow the road to the t junction, after the hump back bridge. Go straight on to reservoir car park. Reservoir car park is approximately 2 miles north of Douglas.
