Start & Finish: Dhoon Glen Halt (on the Manx Electric Railway)
Dhoon Glen is one of the Island’s most dramatic glens and waterfalls, known for its natural and rugged beauty. Nestled within a steep-sided valley, the entrance to an isolated cove can be found, the cove of Dhoon Bay. Dhoon Bay, with its amazing rock formations, pebble beach and solitude makes it a perfect destination to explore, relax or even enjoy a peaceful picnic, listening to the sounds of the sea.
The return route takes you over the cliffs with stunning coastal views before walking amongst the tree canopy and back to the car park. The spectacular walk can be enjoyed at any time of the year, but is particularly stunning in the spring and autumn.
Advice and Safety Information
Short but strenuous, steep in places rocky and slippery at times, please take care.
Moderate - walks for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. The route will include some steep paths or open country. Walking boots and suitable clothing are essential.
