Manx Tents

About

A perfectly flat and superbly well drained temporary campsite with capacity for 150 pre-erected glamping tents with proper beds just a couple of hundred yards from the airport. The campsite will be served by high quality, modern toilet and shower facilities and a central marquee for socialising, enjoying a few drinks and a bite to eat - a complimentary cold breakfast, tea and coffee will be available as well as optional packed lunches and evening meals. Long and short stay packages are available to cater for those who can devote a whole fortnight to the racing or have just a few days to spare. The site is just a walk away from Castletown, a short hop to Port Erin and only 20 minutes to Douglas by bus. This is a great site for those who wish to arrive by plane and simply drop their bags off at the site before travelling to the racing by public transport, but there is also ample, secure parking for those travelling by bike or car/van. Bus stops at the airport serve Douglas and the rest of the south of the island and the steam train stations of Ballasalla and Castletown are less than a 15 minute walk away. The campsite enjoys a wonderful rural outlook to the southern hills and, at 17 acres, is large enough to allow the tents to be generously spaced allowing for a quieter night than at some sites.
