About

This property is a Pretty Detached traditionally furnished Manx miner's cottage in an elevated position above Ramsey Road.

It sits within large front and rear gardens giving a great feeling of privacy and calm. Both front and rear gardens have large grassed areas with a concreted path and sitting area right in front of the cottage. An outdoor table and 4 chairs are provided with deckchairs stored in the shed attached to the cottage. As the cottage faces South, this area is a suntrap.

The cottage is gas centrally heated with supplementary heating comprising a gas fire in the living room with an electric convector heater in the lounge.

Ground Floor

The comfortable lounge is to the left of the entry hall and is fully carpeted having a large 2 seater upholstered settee, 2 upholstered easy chairs, 2 coffee tables, a floor rug, pictures and a convector heater.

The 26" LCD colour TV, DVD, player & VHS player/recorder sit on a simple black stand in the front chimney reveal with the CD/Wireless unit on a corner shelf above. There is a table lamp on a antique table in the corner adjacent to the door, as well as a ceiling light.

The room opposite is a cosy living room, containing a small oak dropdown elliptical dining table, 4 upholstered dining chairs, an oak Welsh dresser, containing crockery/cutlery and the fridge /freezer. It also has access to an under the stairs cupboard.

The well-equipped solid oak finished large galley kitchen is accessed from here with 2 bowl sink, electric ceramic 4 pan hob, wall mounted combination microwave (with roasting facility) and small washing machine.

The bathroom which is adjacent, has the original white roll top bath, modern wash basin and separate WC with ceramic tile floor.

First Floor 

There is one double bedroom with spring interior mattress & sprung base, wardrobe, 6 drawer antique chest, bedside tables, wicker stool and original cast iron fireplace(not in use) 

The second is a twin bedroom with pine beds, both having spring interior mattresses, pine bedside table, 5 drawer pine chest & wardrobe plus ceramic basin vanity unit. .

It is only a short walk to the local attractions in Laxey & down Minorca Hill to the Harbour & beach.

Children over 10 welcome.

It is also on the main bus route ,No 3 from Douglas to Ramsey with bus stops only 30 metres away or less in both directions.

The Electric Tram Stop is only 50 metres away down Minorca Hill towards the Harbour
