About

Belmont is a fully restored late Georgian period home within easy walking distance of Douglas Town Centre.

Choose from one of our 3 bedrooms;

Gosford – a large en-suite room with queen size bed with double aspect views over the garden.

Cranberry - a beautifully appointed en-suite room with queen size bed and views over the front of the house.

Amethyst – a lovely sunny en-suite room with queen size bed and double aspect views over the garden. 

Linton  - a lovely twin room –– which can be let to families who have already booked the Cranberry room as the bathroom in Cranberry is set up to make it possible to share with another room.  This room is only available under these terms.  Please ask for further details.

Each room has a hospitality tray with a selection of drinks for your convenience. Bathrobes and a hairdryer are provided in each room for your use during your stay, and hair straighteners are available upon request. Toiletries are provided in each bathroom. There are locks on each door and a safe is provided in each bedroom. 

Living Areas

The living rooms on the ground floor and entertainment space in the basement are for your use and enjoyment.  There is also a large screen for viewing films.  We have an extensive collection of DVDs to choose from.

A door from the basement leads out the barbeque area and another sheltered patio area.

There is a lovely sunny garden with patio areas and woodland. For your further enjoyment there is an outdoor Table Tennis table.

We can offer access to the laundry with washing machine and dryer available upon request (chargeable)

Breakfast

We provide our guests with a substantial continental breakfast served in the Orangery including a choice of cereals, bread, pastries or croissants, fruit salad, yoghurt, juice tea and coffee. We also provide some hot healthy options for a small extra charge.

Tea and coffee is freely available throughout the day.  Packed lunches are also available on request.

*3 beautifully appointed double rooms all ensuite. All are situated on 1st floor. All have safes, hairdryers, dressing gowns provided.
Cranberry: A suite at the front of the house comprising bedroom with Queen size bed, TV, dressing table and fitted wardrobes. Ensuite with extra long bath inc full sower, WC and vanity basin.
Gosford: A large dual aspect room with views to front and main garden. Kingsize bed, TV, dressing table, chairs, wardrobe and drawers. Ensuite shower room with modern shower, WC and vanity basin.
Amethyst: A very pretty ensuite shower room with queen size bed which is dual aspect to front and side of the house. TV and wardrobe and drawers. There is a comfy chair.
Linton: We have a twin room available upon request.This has TV, washhand basin, wardrobe and drawers, which is only let to families with children who have reserved another room.

Road Directions

Belmont Road is a quiet cul-de-sac situated off Belmont Hill which starts at the Peel Road by the JW Church. It is an easy to walk to central Douglas within 15 minutes (short cuts available). Tesco food store is approximately a 15 minute walk.

It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the Quarterbridge and approximately 25 minutes to the Nobles Park for the TT Grandstand.

We offer airport/ seaport collection service upon request. We can also arrange taxis.

We have extensive parking space available.

 

Public Transport Directions

Where possible we offer collection from airport or Sea Terminal upon request.

Taxis can be booked for you in advance if requested.

Buses to Castletown (to/from the airport), Port Erin, Peel and Ramsey all run along the Peel Road which is 5 minute walk.

The Steam Train station is approximately 15 minutes heading into Town.
