West Baldwin Reservoir Car Park

Type:Dark Sky Site

West Baldwin Reservoir Car Park

The picturesque reservoir, also known as Injebreck, is located on the site of an old village, the remains of which can be seen when the water levels are low. Surrounded by countryside and minimal light pollution, West Baldwin Reservoir is the perfect Dark Sky site to see the twinkling stars to the South, East and West of the Island.

West Baldwin Reservoir car park is one of 26 registered Dark Sky Discovery Sites on the Isle of Man. With the help of Interpretation Boards on site, stargazers can fully enjoy the stunning views on offer in the Manx skies.

Advice and Safety:

The stargazing site is a large flat area surrounded by fences and walls. The walls are low and the reservoir is close by over the wall.
