Corrin's Folly, stands on the top of Peel Hill overlooking the town of Peel and out across the Irish Sea as a tower monument to Thomas Corrin's beloved family.
This river flows down from Glen Rushen to the sea near the village of Glen Maye in the west of the island. There is also a long stretch of public fishing upstream of the village.
The Silverburn begins its journey above the village of St Marks, passing through Ballasalla before entering the sea at Castletown Harbour. Sea trout and salmon do run it, but it is predominantly a trout stream.
