Spectacular views

With magnificent views across Port Erin Bay, Spaldrick View Cottage is the perfect place for a Manx coastal holiday.

The cottage is a former fisherman’s cottage overlooking Spaldrick Beach, with the Calf of Man to the South and Bradda Head to the North.

It is in a quiet seaside location within a few minutes walk of village amenities in Port Erin, with some of the best coastal walks on the Island on the doorstep.

The cottage has been owned by the family for over 130 years and has a long association with the sea. From the living room and three front bedrooms you can watch gannets diving in the Bay, fish jumping, or you may be lucky enough to see basking sharks feeding.

It has been recently renovated to a high standard whilst retaining many of the traditional features.

The area

Spaldrick is a small hamlet on the outskirts of Port Erin. An ideal location for a seaside holiday with a footpath outside the house leading to Spaldrick Beach which is a quiet cove ideal for swimming, rock-pooling or just relaxing!

There are lovely walks down Bradda Glen and coastal paths leading to Bradda Head and Milner’s Tower.

For longer walks from the house, walk around the coastal paths to Fleshwick Bay with breathtaking views along the spectacular west coast.

A walk down Spaldrick promenade brings you to Port Erin with village shops, pubs, restaurants, tennis courts, a bowling green and a Railway Station for

the Victorian Steam Railway.

On the beach you can find many activities including kayaking, surfing and dinghy sailing.

From Port Erin harbour you can enjoy boat trips to the Calf of Man which provides a chance to see basking sharks, whales, dolphins and porpoises.
