Pinfold Holiday Cottages consist of 3 immaculate purpose-built properties, located in the historic and picturesque village of Laxey on the east coast of the Isle of Man.

Built on the site of an old Smithy, a river runs directly beneath one of the buildings and it can be viewed through a glass section to the rear of the property. The Cottages are conveniently situated on the main road into Laxey village and enjoys ample car parking to the rear.

The location benefits from being on the main Douglas/Ramsey bus route and is a few minutes walk from passenger stops on the famous Manx Electric Railway line. It represents an ideal location from which to visit the Island’s many places of interest.

A warm welcome: An Isle of Man Welcome Pack will be waiting for you on arrival to assist you in maximising your stay on the Island. We are also available to help organise any outdoor activities that you may wish to partake in, including walking, climbing, diving, off-road biking, or visits to the various clubs and outdoor centres available to you.

The village of Laxey, (originating from the Viking ‘Laxa’ or ‘Salmon River’) itself offers numerous place of interest and amenities. The famous ‘Lady Isabella’, the world’s biggest water wheel dominates the valley. The Heritage Trail offers interest from the restored mine workings and railway, to the Valley and Glen Gardens. From the Electric Railway station, where a tram may be taken to the summit of Snaefell Mountain, to the harbour area in Old Laxey from where a motor vessel sails down the coast to Douglas, the Island’s capital. Along the way stop and enjoy fine fare in one of the village’s Italian, Indian, English or speciality restaurants, or one of cafes or takeaways. Alternatively, enjoy refreshment in one of the 5 public houses (3 with catering facilities and 1 with its own micro brewery) which are in walking distance of the Cottage. Live music can be enjoyed at night in some of the pubs and Laxey also holds the Islands largest and most popular Blues Festival as well as a variety of seasonal activities. There are numerous places of interest and 3 spectacular Glens all within a 5 mile radius of the village.
