This is for the couple who take their love to the extreme, take pleasure jumping into the unknown and relish long days challenging themselves and trying something new. Full of experiences that thrill and make you feel alive, the Isle of Man is the ultimate adventure playground and perfect getaway!

FOR FUN:

Take to the sea. Manx waters are calm in the sheltered bays, challenging in places with ever-shifting tides, brimming with sea life, and home to caves, coves and cliffs to explore. It’s no wonder our residents love to head out on the water so often!

We love taking in the sights while paddle boarding with Saltworks-SUP and Port Erin Paddleboards. Located around the Island, Saltworks in the North and Port Erin Paddleboards in the South, you can rent boards, wet suits and even get some private lessons with the teams. We highly recommend Twilight Glo-Paddleboarding with purpose made LED SUP lights which illuminate down into the water around you. You don't have to travel far to try something new and the Isle of Man is the perfect adventure playground. Whilst out exploring our unspoilt coastline, be sure to wave to our local seals!

The Island’s waters can attract all manners of water sport. Try coasteering, kayaking or gorge scrambling with Adventurous Experiences or dive into our emerald waters with Discover Diving and IDiveIsleofMan. Discover your perfect activity here.

For those of you who prefer to stay on land, there's plenty of adrenaline-fuelled activities that will get your pulse racing. Explore the Island via Segway, Quad Bike Tour, Trike Tour or Pony Trek or on two wheels...did you know the Isle of Man is one of the best places for cycling and mountain biking in the British Isles? Whatever you try, we can guarantee your adventure will be one to remember.

FOR FOOD:

We know you love to find things off the beaten path, so let us suggest The Secret Pizza Company. This place began its life as a pop-up venue and food truck before settling down to the small restaurant in Castletown. The Secret Pizza Company retains its ‘street food’ vibe with communal seating - half of which are outside. The Company uses all Manx local produce, flour and cheese - so the pizza is as fresh as can be!

FOR DRINKS:

Want to drink like a local? We thought you’d might! Try out one of our local pubs - some nestled in communities and others in town centres. These pubs are where the real Manxmen grab their pints after work, a Sunday roast and a quick bite with friends and family. Our suggestions:

Ramsey: The Swan - located right on the TT Course.

Castletown: The George - located across from Castle Rushen

Douglas: The British - located in Douglas Quay

Peel: The Highwayman - located on Poortown Road, just on the outskirts of Peel

Of course if you fancy more of a trendy setting after a long day of adventure, you might want to try the Seven Kingdoms Distillery on the North Quay, Douglas. This bar has amazing gins (some Manx Made!) for you to try. Their menu is extensive so you’re bound to find something to suit your preferences.

Did someone say wine? If pints of beers and distilled gins don't take your fancy, try something different and grab a glass of rhubarb fizz in Port Erin at Foraging Vintners. This working winery produces non-grape based varieties of sparkling wine using local products like rhubarb, elderflower and honey.

TO STAY:

Try something completely different and stay in a dome-shaped Manx cottage on Ballawyllin Farm in East Baldwin. The open plan cottages are self-catering with log fires, spacious kitchens and private patios for enjoying the spectacular view down the Baldwin Valley. The cottage has shared access to an outdoor hot tub and sauna set in a separate patio area for the ultimate relaxation!
