There's a reason you choose to live on the Isle of Man; whether it's for the quality of life, fascinating culture, extraordinary landscape or simply because you can't imagine living anywhere else. You probably feel like you've experienced all the Island has to offer however we're here to show you that this may not be the case...

Visit Isle of Man's 'One Big Weekend' is designed just for fellow residents/locals/'Manxies' to showcase the breadth of activities that are available to you, right on your doorstep. For the adventurers, discoverers, explorers and connoisseurs amongst us, and for those looking for something a little bit different, we want you to rediscover your love for the Island!

Here's what one of our participants had to say about our 'On Your Doorstep - One Big Weekend':

Michelle Stewardson, owner of Saltworks SUP - Stand Up Paddleboarding

"Set up in 2016, Saltworks SUP was the first commercial venture to bring Stand Up Paddleboarding to the shores of the Isle of Man. We wanted to introduce this fantastic sport to the Island and get folks out exploring our beautiful coastline. We now offer everything from lessons, SUP Seal Safaris to SUP Glo and SUP Yoga, so something for everyone. We are also the only provider on the Island of the WSA ISUP SAFE course aimed at sea safety and self-rescue when out paddleboarding independently.

Our Island is an amazing playground and our unspoilt coastline is stunning and full of wildlife just waiting to be discovered. We're participating in the 'One Big Weekend' because we want to get folks out feeling the water beneath their feet, experiencing the Island from a different perspective and generally showing them what's virtually on their doorstep."
