Tin Bath Championships
Experience a fun afternoon of wacky racing that the whole family will enjoy in the ancient capital of the Isle of Man.
Overview
The World Tin Bath Championships are run annualy in Castletown and attract hundreds of competitors and spectators each year.
Taking place this year on Saturday 13th July 2013, this crazy event sees brave participants, from both home and abroad, take to the water in tin baths to race against each other to victory!
The winner is the first to finish the course or the one who covers the furthest distance without sinking!
As well as the standard bath races there are also snake races, entertainment displays and a rope drop.
The races are organised by the Castletown Ale Drinkers’ Society, which donates all the money raised to local charities.
Location
The World Tin Bath Championships are held in the Middle Harbour in Castletown.
The roads around the Middle Harbour will close between 1.30pm and 5.30pm to allow the races to go ahead.
Admission
Admission to the harbour area costs £3 for adults and £1 for children.
