Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival
For a small island the Isle of Man excels in the quality and variety of its locally produced food and drink – and what better way to celebrate this than at the Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival?
Overview
Held on the September 21st and 22nd, the Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival offers visitors the chance to sample the very best of local produce and experience live cookery demonstrations.
You’ll be able to watch local food producers at work and try everything from creamy Manx cheeses, fresh seafood, hand crafted confectionary, Manx meat and even locally brewed Manx alcohol.
Each year the Festival welcomes a famous visitor with a passion for cooking to the Manx Food Theatre. This year Ainsley Harriott will be attending and will give two cookery demonstrations using local Manx produce, judge the I Love Manx Professional Chef competition and meet some of the Manx food and drink producers.
Among the celebrity chefs who have attended previous festivals are Gino D’Acampo, the Hairy Bikers and James Martin.
With your taste buds tantalised make time to stop for a meal or snack at one of the many eateries located around the festival – all of which serve local produce – and don’t miss the other activities which take place over the weekend including farm visits, children’s activities and local entertainment.
