Festivals, Exhibitions and Shows

With a packed calendar of exhibitions, festivals and shows the Isle of Man is a great place to visit if you are looking for year round entertainment.

Each year the Isle of Man plays host to a number of festivals that celebrate everything from Manx culture and heritage, music, food and drink and local theatre.

The Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival sees celebrity chefs welcomed to the Island’s shores, the Queenie Festival is a celebration of the Island's marine heritage and Yn Chruinnaght, which means "the gathering", is a celebration of Manx culture.

The Isle of Man’s first literature festival – Manx Litfest – took place in September to celebrate literary talent both locally and from the British Isles. The festival brings together readers, best selling authors and renowned poets.

Don’t forget to make time to visit some of the Isle of Man’s art galleries during your visit. The Sayle Gallery in Douglas, promotes the work of local artists and the Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin has an exhibition gallery as well as being a venue for musical recitals and local play festivals.

You’ll also be able to catch a performance from local or visiting musicians at the Peel Centenary Centre or make time to visit the prestigious Gaiety Theatre in Douglas to watch a play, musical or concert. There really is something to suit everyone in the Isle of Man.
